ABOUT THE PROGRAM
Renewal Roots is a community-driven program committed to making a difference in the lives of veterans, seniors, and individuals with disabilities in Port Arthur and Beaumont. Our mission is to transform outdoor spaces and uplift spirits through high-quality landscaping services provided at absolutely no cost to our participants.
Throughout the late spring, summer, and cooler months of 2024, we will be providing these services to ensure that yards remain pristine and inviting. Our dedicated team visits each participant's property weekly during the spring and summer, and twice a month during the fall and winter, offering consistent care for residents who cannot tend to their yards themselves.
Commencing on April 19, 2024, and coming to a close on December 16, 2024, this project embodies our commitment to providing ongoing support and care to our community. At Renewal Roots, we believe in creating a greener, more inclusive future where everyone has access to the beauty of nature right outside their doorstep.
AVAILABLE SERVICES
CGEM's Renewal Roots Program offers a variety of landscaping and lawn care services to our participants at no charge. We partner with several local companies and volunteers to provide the following services:
- Lawn mowing
- Weeding
- Edging
- Hedge Trimming
- Mulching
- Planting Shrubs/Flowers/Trees
- Pruning and Shaping Existing Plants
- Tree Trimming
- Clean Up & Hauling
& MORE
We take pride in serving our community members with these services and renewing . If there are other services that we've missed or our participants have other specific landscaping needs, we're happy to try to meet them with our team of dedicated volunteers.

While it's not necessary for you to be present during the service visits, we require at least one adult age 18 or older to be present. We also appreciate any specific instructions or preferences you may have regarding your yard.

Our team follows strict safety protocols to ensure the well-being of both participants and volunteers. We also carry liability insurance to protect against any unforeseen incidents.

Can I request specific landscaping services for my yard?
Absolutely! We strive to accommodate the individual needs and preferences of each participant. If we can make it happen, WE WILL. Please let us know if there are specific services you require.
